Schizophrenia is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a mental disorder characterized by impairments in the perception of reality and by significant social dysfunction. Untreated schizophrenia is typically characterized by demonstrating disorganized thinking and experiencing delusions or auditory hallucinations.
My pdoc prescribed this new antipsychotic because the Saphris was making me too depressed. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with it. It is for adult schizophrenia. I still take my Zyprexa Zydis and Invega so now I am on 3 ap's. I hope to God it works.

This med is a miracle for me..I am only on day four of taking it and my audio and visual hallucinations have stopped. I also am not experiencing any side effects. I hope it keeps working.

Yes, I used to have horrible negative symptoms. Since the Latuda, my positive and negative symptoms are gone! I feel better than I have in over 20years.

my husband started taking latuda and he started to be very agiated. so he started taking back risperal. good luck on your new meds.

It does seem to have a stimulant effect but I was so depressed that it brought me up to a good mood. I am sorry it didn't work for your hubby. I hope the risperdal works. It only worked for me a little while and I was at 14mg/day.
