I have been off this site for over a year as my RA has been pretty non-existent as far as symptoms go. However, last week I noticed I had a sudden onset of pain in my big right toe. I just bought new shoes so I attributed the pain and swelling/redness to them. A few days it was almost impossible to walk. It has not gone away even though I am not wearing those shoes anymore and I am beginning to think I may need to see a Dr. Has anyone else had these symptoms? I read that these symptoms could also be Gout but I don't eat meat so I can't see the relation to excessive protein build up. I think it is odd that it is just one toe, but RA does as it pleases. I am worried to not go see a Dr. but if it is RA then really we all know its part of the big picture. Thanks for any help!
