Ok so I am going to share what I do when Im feeling ok enough. So what I do is I practice yoga 2-3 times a week and exercise moderately 2-3 times a week for an hour. Or when I need more physical activity I clean out room/bath organize everything I can. As far as for the mental and emotional part of my therapy that helps with my RA is meditation along with the yoga and I light up scented candles, close my curtains, usually it is a bit dark but it is because it is cold outside. So it offers a cozy but relaxing environment. I sit or lay down and just close my eyes for a bit using breathing techniques. Or when I do not do yoga I lay down watching a movie or even reading a book of my choice. I also love taking warm showers and use oils and bath salts that offer relaxation. I usually do pedicures/ manicures and give myself massages for the aching joints. There are many sites where you can purchase these spa products or you can even get them at a beauty store or a drugstore. So I know many of you have children, husbands etc but just remember to take some time for yourself.
