One thing my doctor nor I can figure out is why I'm experiencing the feeling of being filled up with air. It started months ago before the MTX. It feels like I'm being pumped up with air........I'll get terrible pain in my chest, even in my ears. Then I'll begin to burp.........sometimes all day long! The burping relieves it over time, sometimes quickly, sometimes not. Anyone else experience this? Do you know what it is?

Could it be acid reflux? That could account for burping and chest pain. Do you have trouble swallowing? That is another symptom of acid reflux. My husband has it bad! I am curious to see what others think of your symptoms. Sure hope you feel better soon!

I know when I had gastroenteritis that I had gas pain in my chest and as high as my shoulder blades. Do you have any spasm type pains in your gut or other symptoms?
Seriously, if you are having those kind of pain you should consult a gastroenterologist. Hope you figure it out...hugs jilly

I know that Ibuprofin is not good on the stomach. I have multiple ulsurs, because of pain medication from my surgeries, the years of taking Tylonal and Ibuprofin, and ofcourse the stress of this disease. Getting cancer has not helped, and this second time around is not so good.

Im sorry, Im talking about myself now. If your doctor can not figure it out, please try another doctor, or a specialist. With the medications thoose with Fibro's have to take, we have to take good care of our stomachs.

Sounds like you need to see a gastroenetrologist. You may have GERD or reflux. Just a simple pill may be all you need to feel bettter!

I dont get the "air", but I do get acid reflux and heartburn. We narrowed it down to all the nsaids I was taking...I was taking prilosec daily until I could finally wean myself off the advil.

    theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??

    I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
