Dr. told me today it takes 7 months for the body to stop making cortisone and I could just stop it all together if I wanted. I'm at 6.5 right now & been taking it sine 11/9/13. He also didn't understand splitting it between am & pm but to do whatever made me comfortable to taper off. From what I've read anything past several weeks needs a taper, not sure how fast.Need some advice on this. He thinks the symptoms I had that seemed like withdrawl are coincidental & may be another immune system issue so ran more labs, yay :(. It makes me wound up & nauseus, no appetite like its supposed to so I'm confused at this point. Of course I would loooove to quit it immediately. Appreciate any advice.
