have been here for about a year and still do not have a definite dx of RA. however I'm still working with a rhuemy through the VA. I'm taking naproxen, garbapetin, iron pills, vitamin D. I still have pain and stiffenes and chronic fatigue. I'm a Social work major and I recently dropped my internship and quit my part time job. I just felt overwhelmed with the pain and the fatigued, But after reading some of your stories of people working in nursing and other strenous careers I feel like I just gave in. I think my issue is more depression and anxiety along with the fatigued that Is getting me down. I wish I had the drive and fight that some of you have. I just wish I could get a dx my doctors are more like lets just wait and see if your get worse before we treat you more progressively. I do understand that some of the meds for RA have great risks and not to given out lightly. Maybe I have fibro. I have been dx with OA in some of my joints with inflammation and a positive RA factor. Anyway since I dropped class I'm only taking one class online this semester. I determined to go back next semester to start my intern over so I can complete the program fall of next year. The decision I made set me back a semester now I'n having second thoughts about dropping. I know it is already done. I will keep reading the post It is very encouraging to here how some of you are fighting and good fight and reaching your goals and staying employed. forgive my spelling(LOL) it is just apart of my brain fog and memory problems.
