I was diagnosed with RA and fibromyalgia (and osteoarthritis in the knees). Whenever flare-ups occurred (when the steroids wore off), I would have incredibly painful calf muscle spasms at night. Since then anytime I use that muscle, it hurts. Even just walking across the parking lot, it hurts. I told my rheumatologist and she kind of brushed it off as part of the RA, but it's not going away after several months. I can't get another appointment with her for 3 months. Does anyone know why I'm having this pain and how to get rid of it?
