I started EMDR recently with a therapist who works in my therapists office. We created a safe place and all and started working on the trauma. Last week got really difficult, as I imagine its supposed to get, but it was worse because she never had me go to the safe place. I left feeling worse than when I went in! And we had been using the vibrating things that you hold, but then halfway through she said I should really be doing the eye movements because thats what works. She never told me the vibrating thing wouldnt work as well I picked that cause thats what I was most comfortable with. Any advice, similar experiences?
