I am one year out from a Pulmonary Embolism. I was told by my Pulmonary Doctor that because I had two genetic blood clotting disorders that I would be on Warfarin for life. Today I saw a hematologist who thought I did not need to be on warfarin for life. I have not been in range for several months and have had a really hard time on warfrin. My pulmonary embolism happened after a lot of travel and 20 years on birth control. These two factors are no longer a problem. She suggested to try aspirin therapy and use lovenox shots when traveling. I am thrilled with this as I am very healthy and active but so scared to come of warfarin. Any thoughts. Has to happened to anyone? I would love to hear anyones experiences.
