Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

I haven't taken Paxil, but I have taken an antidepressant before, and it did take a few weeks for the big side effects to subside, to feel normal on it. Is Paxil like that? And, I can tell you that when I managed to stop feeling panicky today, it was amazing how much less sick I felt. Just a huge difference. I say, do whatever you think will help you to feel safe. E-mail us. Get more tests if you want em. Buy new playdoh for you and the kids (they're little, yes?) Pets, a blankie, or stay on the Paxil. Can you take a walk with someone? What makes you feel safe normally??

I didn't sleep a wink last night, my body couldn't shut down, I was able to sleep prior to taking that one dose, but it was bad last night, I was jumpy and restless. I've never been a antidpressant before, not sure if I want to be if that's what you have to go thru...

Antidepressants can make your anxiety worse when you first start taking them. Often drs will prescribe an benzodiazepene for anxiety to counteract the effect of increased anxiety due to the anti-d. The benzo's really work well for that purpose and then after the first few weeks of the anti-d's you can stop the benzo's and the anxiety won't come back. Klonopin is a good Benzo with a long half-life, so ask your doc.

Renee, I am a veteran depression pt. Paxil was the first med I took. Almost all of them make you feel nauseated, jumpy at first. It takes a couple of weeks to get used to the medicine for your body, but it does work. I was unable to sleep - kept waking up, so I take a benzodiazapine -Klonopin at night so I can sleep -you would be amazed at how much better you can cope when you have enough sleep. I take Effexor now since the Paxil didn't do much for me. Some drugs Ive' tried have made me feel really bad -like really horrid headaches and dizziness. It sometimes takes a little or a lot of trial and error to find the right drug or combination that works best for you. remember -you are trying to fix a chemical imbalance in your brain, and it won't happen overnight. Most of these types of drugs say they take 6-8 weeks to feel and see a good effect. The other thing that helped me at first was a short acting Benzo called Xanax. Especially if you are experienceing panic attacks.

I went through a slew of anti-depressants because of side effects. I take Wellbutrin which worked for me.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
