I was diagnosed on July 4th stayed in the hospital for 3 days. I too was feeling short of breath and getting tired real fast. I had a brother that past away 9 years ago of primary pulmonary hypertension (rare lung disease) I was thinking I had that. I was thinking this is the holiday weekend and I will wait to go to my PCP dr on Monday. I decided to try to do some weeding and my German Shepherd was chasing the weeds I was tossing. One weed didn't leave my hand quite fast enough, he got the tip of my finger. My husband said we should probably go to ER. So off to ER I went. I almost left because I really didn't think I was an emergency. When they were triage me, I mentioned I have been short of breath. Next thing you know I was getting CT of lung. They didn't even bother with my finger, other than bandaging it. Found blood clots in both lungs, multiple. I was shocked. Admitted for 3 days, did heparin, lovenox, and now doing coumadin. Docotr put me off for a month. I am suppose to go back to work next week. I don't think I am ready. Still having a lot of chest pains and short of breath. Don't really feel any better. Last friday I went back to ER the pain was so bad. They did another CT scan of lung, (blood work showed I have some type of clotting disorder) Clots are the same. I am surprised they have dissolved even a little a bit. Very scared, and nervous. I think I will go back to my PCP and let him know I need more time off. This support group, though helps me know I am not alone and everything I am feeling is normal. Thanks for listening....:)

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
