I just got back for my first out of hospital Hemo visit. I will be on coumadin for a year as I am having no problems with it. He is happy to see that my body is resolving the clots so quickly. The high heart rate and blood pressure are likely due to heart damage and the coughing to mini infections in the injured parts of the lung. Both should resolve on their own. If 2-6 months has passed and it hasn't then see a cardiologist and a pulmonologist. he sees no advantage right now to the pulmonologist. Both my protein C and S were off at testing but with the coumadin he is hoping that the coumadin had the numbers wacky not my body. He looked through the tests I've had and is pretty sure that there is no lupus, no lupus anticoagulant, no homocystein problems. Just the hetero FVL. I will see him back in a year. Until then I keep on going as I am.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
