I had a pulmonary embolism in my lung at the beginning of December. This was due to surgery and it came on 2 days after having a hysterectomy, They suggested I stay on the Warfarin for six months but my doctor let me go off them at 3 1/2 months since the clot occurred due to surgery and it was just not random so unlikely to occur again. I am still having little spurts where I kind of have to gasp for air and it mostly happens in my sleep. It also happens sometimes when I am just sitting and watching t.v. I am not short of breath in general. The gasping for air is nowhere near what it felt like when they first discovered the clot but it is still making me nervous. To sum it up, it just feels like I can't catch my breath for a second. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, please let me know your thoughts. Thank you!!
