Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
Lots of us experienced anxiety shortly after getting home from the hospital and for me, it manifested itself with chest pains and shortness of breath. So, between the fatigue, recovery and the anxiety, I felt like garbage for a good 4-6 weeks. Work didnt help the situation.
But know that it does get better with time!
