I am a psoriasis sufferer here. I did not get relief from my plaques until I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis, although the different biologics the rhuematologist placed me on did nothing for my arthritis, I am psoriasis free. I am in remission as far as the psoriasis on my body. If you are covered like I was with over 30, 40 or 50 percent of your body in plaques and you are going to a dermatologist, have you ever thought about going to a rhuematologist or asking your dermatologist to put you on one of the new biologics for psoriasis? They do work! Enbrel, humria, or remicade. Although they did not work for my psoriatic arthritis, they can help psoriatic patients. I hate psoriasis, and having suffered over half my life with small tubes of creams(no refills til you come back and see me dr. so and so would say..), embarrassment, and people staring at me and the cracking and bleeding (oh, that hurt so bad) I would not wish that on anyone, and would love for everyone who could get help who could. Have any of you looked into any of the biologics I have mentioned? Just wondering. I have had psoriasis since I was in the sixth grade. I remember it well, a boy saw it on the back of my neck and went, ewwww....what is thaaaaat??? I was so ashamed...but I could not help it. I have suffered with this disease until 5 years ago and it went into remission, but I am left with the painful and crippling arthritis in my back, knees, hands and fingers.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
