I am single and everyone is always asking why I
don't date more. I always say I'm fine, I was married for 20 years, and that was enough. The truth is I get asked out a lot and sometimes I do go. It seems like after 2 or 3 dates I tend to back off. Psoriasis is ugly--I might be a decent looking pkg from the outside, but underneath the clothes are some patches of psoriasis, varicose veins and all the other insecurities of an older woman whose had children. I'd like to hear some comments and see if any of you have the same issues.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I can relate. Dating is difficult enough with the normal relationship issues, not to mention the "standard" body issues and insecurities. I'm worried that someone will look at me differently once they know that I have this, and once they see my skin. I keep mine pretty hidden and manage to be very creative with my clothes, but it's getting more challenging. I hate the sight of my own body, which, makes trying to be confidant and sexy a real problem. I work out, eat right, take care of myself, and to most people look well put together. The fact is that I'm terrified of people seeing my skin unless I've done major body make-up. All of this makes me almost prefer not even to be in a relationship. They should start a dating service on this site, because I really feel I would be so much more comfortable getting close with someone who could relate to what I'm going through and truly love me unconditionally no matter what my skin looks like. I know I could also offer that in return and make someone very happy!
