I need this to stop! My first symptom was the "whooshing" sound in my right ear and it has NEVER gone away. The doctor showed me on my CT scan where the pressure has flattened the vein in my brain near my right ear and pituitary gland; and what I'm hearing is the blood squeezing through, but it is driving me insane. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make this stop? I cannot concentrate very long on anything because of the noise in my ear. I have to turn up the TV louder to hear over it, which just makes me irritated even more. When I talk to people,I've noticed that I tilt my head so that my left ear is towards the speaker.... If anyone knows how to make this stop, I'm all ears. (No pun intended = / )

I have been living with pulsatile tinnitus for the last 15 years. I can hear and feel my heart beating in my ear. Its like a loud swooshing sound, similar to hearing the baby's heart beat when you are pregnant and the dr. puts the microphone up to your belly. The sound gets louder or softer depending on how I move around or the positions I lay in or the way I turn my head from side to side or up...
