Hi Evryone, I saw the stroke neuro on thursday. He said right now his only concern is keeping me stable and that I need six months to pass without any more problems for him to condider me out of the woods. He said there is an improvement in the flow around the stent.. and he wants to see what my body does on its own. Here is the kicker..he said after studing all my films including the angio I had before the stent..what my old Neuro's thought was a stenosis and where they put the stent was actually an arachnoid granulation. Here is a partial definition of an ARACHNOID GRANULATION....They protrude into the venous sinuses of the brain, and allow cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) to exit the brain, and enter the blood stream.......so basically they put a stent in the way of my spianl fluid drainage...remember my left side doesn't work so I only have only the rh side and now it is compromised...the stent cannot be removed. My body is trying to correct itself...he says there is more flow now...than there was two months ago.. the stroke neuro says there is nothing that can be done medically to fix it. He says the problem was never with my CSF it was a venous congestion problem...I go back on Oct. 7th for more imaging studies...I am still in shock over his conclusion and thinking ....WHY....for those of you who might be heading for stent surgery I dont want to scare you..I know it works for some just like shunts..we all read the problems here with shunts, but they do work for a lot of people just make sure you do your homework and maybe get a second opinion...thank you all for your support I couldn't of gotten thru the last five months without it...I am sorry I have not been that active on the sight, but I have just been trying to process this mess...Paula

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
