This weekend has been horrible. It has been five weeks now since my lp shunt and am still having very weird pains. My side gets the most stabbing pain and it goes up through my shoulder and up my neck and up the right side of my head. The pain is soo seviere I can't move at all. It hurts to breath. I have called my NS many many times complaining about it and they keep telling me it is normal. They say they don't stitch the tube in place and so things just kind of float around. Good thing my husband was leaving for work later on friday morning. He wound up staying home with me. I had pain all day and could not move. I was crying soo hard. Saturday came and I still couldn't get out of bed because of the pain. Sunday same thing only it got worse. I tried sitting up to eat dinner and I felt very strange. Everyone kept asking me if I was ok. My face went white and I felt fuzzy and strange and almost passed out. My husband laid me down and put a cold wash cloth on my head. I was sweating sevierely. How can this be normal???? Now it is monday and woke up with the sharpest pain my side AGAIN!! My husband called the NS AGAIN!! Still they say the same. WHAT??? Anyone have advice? My kids are going back to school tomorrow and I am terrified for them to go because then I am home alone with my four year old. The older kids have to help me out soo much and my husband had been home from work soo much since the surgery! I am ready to GIVE UP!

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
