Almost 2 weeks ao after my husband saw his new primary care dr here the dr gave him a referral to a urologist. Of course he insisted it was a oncologist, so I left it for the day. The next day I called the oncology center and asked "does my husband need a urologist here in town?" The answer from the woman was, wait until he sees the oncologist next week and ask. Ok, so a week goes by, finally sees the oncologist and then comes home and tells me what is planned. No mention of a urologist, except there is one in town. So the next day I get a call from the oncology center telling me to make an appt with Dr Harris (urologist in other group) to have gold seeds implanted in the prostate. I explain to the woman, hey...he cannot see Dr Harris now that he is in the other med group and why the heck didn't anyone even bother just to get the referral to the guy here in town. I reminded the woman I specifically asked about urologists and she told us to wait. So a referral is getting made BUT what are the gold seeds for? I would actually look it up, but i think one of my grandkids took my reading glasses and I cannot find them anywhere and doing puter stuff without them is awful. Bi-focals are NOT puter friendly. My guess is the gold acts as some kind of direct conductor for the radiation beam (?) to hit it's target dead-on. I swear I get more confused as each day goes by and husband is no help as he does not ask questions, he just sort of listens. I was to go with him but something medical came up with me and my dr had an opening at the same time as hubbys appt and since we were in the same building I figured it would work. I actually thought I would be done first then could go into his drs office, but nope...he was outside waiting for me...we finished up close together on time. All I know is pretty soon cannot tell hubby his ass is grass....it will have to be your ass is golden. Or his fave saying is "your ass sucks buttermilk", I will have to convert it to something else for a comeback. Oh by the way, his disposition has not improved even now that he finally is in the right med group with all the right drs....keeps this up and I will remove the tumors with my paring knife...just kidding (well maybe not)

I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
