Google "detoxing" or "herbal detox" and you will find some remedies that really help. Some you can make at home.
Oh...get some immodium AD, too. You will visit the toilet a lot more if you don't.
And remember, "This too shall pass." The skin felt as if it were peeling off my back at one point, but I did survive it. I now have over a year clean and sober.
ALSO: I just remembered what happened after that whole "skin peeling off my back" thing happened. I had to go to the hospital. So, you may want to talk to A doctor or YOUR doctor since detoxing on your own could be fatal, depending on what you take and how much. The nurse at the hospital said, "I can't believe you didn't have a heart attack or a stroke, Candi!! I just can't believe it." Keep in mind that you will be putting your body through a very large adjustment and it will fight the addiction the whole way.
I would suggest making sure a doctor is aware you are doing this, only because of my past experience.
Anyway, hope this helped!
cold sweats, fever, diarrhea, extreme leg pains, insomnia, loss of appetite, irritability, depression, and serious restlessness. this sound horrific i know, but it will be so worth it. the really bad withdrawals will probably last about three days but you won't feel totally good for a couple of weeks. i know that the couple times i have kicked, after the three days of hell i usually feel like i'm in some weird dream state for a few weeks afterwards. stay strong and good luck.
