Anyone have a Tylenol 3 addiction and overcome it alone? If so, can you share how you did it? I would really like to do it on my own. I have two major dependencies - one is trichotillomania (pulling lashes) for which I am 3 months pull-free. This is my next battle. I had a back injury several years back and started taking Tylenol 3. I started with one every four hours. I upped that to 2 and then 3. I now take up to 6 a day (not every four hours - just 6 flat a day at the same time). I am told it's not high compared to the others I have seen, but it is enough for me now. The last time I tried to stop, I felt like I had the flu. I was sick to my stomach, up all night, sweating, my legs ached, my body ached, and I had no energy to do anything. It was awful. So, I slipped back. My doc prescribes me 60 every 15 days. Tomorrow I run out. I am already getting shaky thinking about the fact that I won't have any until at least Friday (5 days from now) and that's freaking me out, again. I am thinking perhaps I might take this opportunity to just stop. I get so tired of worrying about running out and getting more. Ugh. I need to know what can help relieve some of the withdrawal symptoms and how to get to sleep at night. Thanks to anyone who knows. One disease down, one to go...I really need to get my life in order.

4 months total abstinence now. The last week I have been getting a lot of urges and feeling sexually charged at times. Feeling like I need a release and getting mild urges to watch porn again. I came to a realisation that I don't miss porn. I miss the effect porn used to have on me. Truth is for 6 months prior to quitting it had been doing absolutely nothing for me. Maybe it was shifting...
