My oldest son is 3 1/2 years old. He was born at 25 weeks and stayed in the NICU for 2 months and 9 days. Though we were giving little hope at first, he overcame all odds and is now a very healthy and happy little man. The problem we are having is potty training. We have tried it all. He has 3 different potty chairs, we have just tried putting him in regular underwear, we have put a cheerio in the toilet and tried to make a game out of peeing on it, etc and etc. My wife is even now offering to buy him things if he will use the potty. If you just sit him on it, he will scream like you just shot him or something. He is so smart. He was even over qualified this year to start a special school for children born early. After his testing, they say he will be okay to start regular school, so what is the problem with his potty training? Any advice?
