My daughter is a very bright and talented six year old who just happens to have been born at 34 wks 3 days after a very complicated pregnancy. Everything seemed fine with her she spent no time in the NICU and came home with me four days after she was born. She met all of her milestones on time and was climbing before she could walk and by 12 months she was walking and talking in sentences. At 13 months old I noticed her eyes were crossing ok no big deal then her eye doctor told me that it was nothing just that babies have fat noses and it just looks like there crossing. needles to say he was wrong and she had surgery to correct them in november. The other day her teacher and I talked and she brought up that my daughter is having problems with her fine motor skills I have always noticed that my daughter was a little different like she is sensitive to loud noise she can't stand it but now I am starting to wonder if these things are because she was born premature ? I know that she is still kinda small for her age from the time she was 1 month old she has been in 25 percent for her height and 50 percent for her weight it has never changed. My daughter also has Asthma are these things because she was born premature? How and what do I need to do to make sure there is nothing more scary around the corner for her?
