I got a letter from the hospital today, saying they need to take my blood again because 'there are concerns about my red blood cell levels'. I was told I was anemic before finding out I was pregnant. Then I had another doc appointment regarding my anemia which is when I found out I was pregnant, that day I went into hospital because they were worried baby was ectopic. Thank God it wasn't, and I was told I'm not anemic- but that same day I was discussing diet for anemics with my GP! Anyway I moved back home (this all happened at uni) and when I was in hospital for sickness no one mentioned my blood (I did have it taken a few times), so I assumed everything was fine. Now I'm scared, is anemia dangerous in pregnancy? I can't eat meat right now because it makes me feel sick!!
