Are you able to hear the babys heartbeat by yourself? Like with a stethoscope? How early can that be heard. my friend said she heard her babys heartbeat with a stethoscope really early and I find it hard to believe

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I guess everyone is different. And I was also wondering about the home heartbeat monitor.
I have heard that many women rent dopplers so they can hear the heartbeat at home, but it's not an easy thing to find. That heart beat is so overshadowed by your heart beat and regular noises inside of you, that it can be quite tricky to hear the baby. I never got one because I didn't want to constantly be hunting down a hard to find sound. So I just wait until my monthly appointments and then totally enjoy the wsh wsh wsh sound!
