I live about an hour & half drive away from my family. My mom is going to retire 10 days before my due date and my brother has the "great" idea to throw her a surprise party. He's offered to pay for most if not all of it and he's hoping I'll take care of just about everything else (guest list, invitations, RSVPs, and the overall plan). I'm not excited about the idea (I really don't think my mom wants a party), plus I just don't think it's a good idea for me to make plans that involve leaving town so close to my due date--don't most docs advise against that? Is an hour and a half not really that far away? Am I just being paranoid and bitchy? What would you do?

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips.
