I have a coworker who's been coughing for months and I overheard her today on a personal call telling a family member that shes been waking up in a pool of sweat and running a fever and after months of coughing without a cure. Also now she's coughing up brown sputum. She also never covers her cough. I went on webmd and looked up her symptoms that sound like T B and they are. I'm an RN and so is she and our manager. I emailed my manager and she has yet to respond. My husband told me that if she's there on Monday, that I should leave and go home. My manager knows that I'm pg, however she doesn't know yet that one of our other coworkers is pg also. NOt to mention other pg women in our building. What should I do, so that I won't get fired, but protect my baby?
