Hi all. I'm about 11 weeks and I'm getting a sore throat and possibly a cold. I know I can't take any cough syrup, but what about Redoxen (with Vit C) for easing my throat? Anybody know?

You can actually take robitussion! I had to talk to my doc because my throat hurt so bad and robitussion is defintly safe as long as you don't go over the recommended does. Also vitamin B tablets will help pass the cold faster and you can have cough drops for the sore throat :) I was going to die this past week if I couldn't have anything!

There's always Tylenol, too. Check with your dr. - mine has a handy list of what you can take, but of course I can't find it right now or I'd detail it for you! I'm pretty sure Benadryl is OK if you get stuffed up, and Vicks Vapor rub (I just read you can actually rub it on the soles of your feet, put socks on, and it will stop a cough!). Hope you feel better soon!

Omg, vicks on your feet will stop a cough? LOL where was that idea for me at 3am this morning hee hee! I will have to try that tonight!

~L~ My sister mentioned the vicks one to me too. I'll have to try that when this progresses that far. For now, I'll stock up on Robitusson and cough candies. Are Halls candies safe?

Yep, halls are just fine, in fact am having a cherry one now as I type this! lol

I asked my dr what would be safe for keeping my stuffiness from becoming an infection and she said I could use Zicam. Just the plain one, not one with a bunch of different things. She said the nasal swabs are better because the oral kind tastes really bad. Also, I was told to try and stay away from Benadryl. But she explained that it is because it tends to make things shrink and contract and I have a tendency towards high blood pressure. If your bp is fine, it should be ok though.

i ve been taking redoxen for about a month as my doc told me it was fine.the vitamin that you cant take is vitamin A.

Thank you all for your comments! I'm going to go stock up on Redoxen, avoid Vit. A, get me some Halls Candies to relief this throat, and see about that Robitussen for when it gets really bad. Thanks a ton ladies! ~hugs~

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
