Hey ladies
I am 34 weeks and 3 days now, and for the last 48 hrs or so I have had period like cramps and am now experiencing stabbing pains in my vaginal/cervical area. Have had a tiny bit of snot like mucus come out as well. It has gotten to the point that I am up every hour peeing, and when I get up I am so sore I can barely walk. I have had braxton hicks on and off since week 28 or so, but this is a bit different. The period type cramps are in my lower back and the front of my pelvis and the stabbing pains occur most when I am peeing or having a bowel movement. I rang my doula tonight and she suggested that unless I have bloody show (in which case, I should go to L & D), I should go in to see my doc (or try to get in to see him) tomorrow morning, just to check to see if I am in early labor! Eek! Just wondering if anyone else or has any idea as to what this is. I have had round ligament pain since week 15 and once again, this feels ... different. Anyhow, its late here so I am going to try to get some more sleep. Any comments/advice is welcome!
Thanks!

This is my first baby, so I can't tell you from experience, but what I've read makes it sound like the pain in your vagina could be your cervix starting to dilate, and it also sounds like you could be losing your mucous plug. However, if your midwife thinks it can wait till morning, then wait till morning. But DO get in to see a dr! I would try not to worry TOO much - there are ways they can stop labor and stuff, so your baby will probably be fine even if you are starting labor. Good luck!!!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
