Since I was due yesterday and my blood pressure has been a bit concerning to the midwives, we've gone ahead and scheduled an induction. Unfortunately, my cervix is NOT ready for birth regardless of all the cramps I've been having and everything we've tried (which was everything but castor oil). So I'm scheduled to go into the hospital tomorrow evening (Thurs) for cervical ripening, followed by induction in the morning when my cervix is ready.
I was a bit disappointed cuz I wanted to do things as naturally as I could and inducing just increases the chances for more interventions. But I'm getting my mind around it and I'm getting SO damn anxious for her to get out of me that I'm just about jumping out of my skin for it to happen already. Hopefully tomorrow will go fast - I have an appt for a non-stress test and another exam tomorrow afternoon and after that it will just be a few hours before I head into the hospital. I still ahve to put some finishing touches on my bags now that we know the situation is going to be a bit different (more clothes for hubby, things to occupy us while we're waiting for labor to start, snacks etc). I've been getting flooded with well wishes and support, so I'm feeling pretty good about it.
We're so ready baby, and you'll be here this weekend!!!

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I'm sure everything will go fine.
I was induced with ds and everything was fine. I did have to have forceps but that's my stupid hips fault not anything to do with the induction.
I got my first contraction as soon as my water broke (on their own) at 215pm, was pushing by 530pm and had him at 835pm. So quite quickly too. He was my first bubs too.
Remember to remain calm and all will be well.
