Anyone ever have pain in their right butt cheek that was the result of your sciatica nerve? Just wondering how to make it feel better or go away. They say it happens during pregnancy.
Thanks for the help!

I always have this from time to time and the thing that works best for me is a daily yoga practice. If I do my yoga I am good if I don't my back hurts!

Depends on the person. I had it from sitting on the toilet lid while my 3 yo was taking his bath. I learned to avoid hard seats very quickly! Warm baths, tylenol, and sitting on a heating pad set on low helped me. It takes a few days though. Stretching by pulling your knee to your chest helps too.

My sciatic pain is more in my legs but can affect my butt cheek.

I had it during my first pregnancy, someone had suggested to me at that time to go get my hips adjusted...I didn't feel comfortable with that so I just suffered with it,,,rest was really the only thing that helped me

Oh HECK Yeah...although I found out that the "kitchen knife in the butt" pain is actually more "pelvic pain" then "sciatic", that pain starts right above the butt and shoots through the butt and into the leg, or some variance. Same idea though. Apparently not much can make it go away, chiro and massage (my hubby massaged my butt a few times) work is helpful, warm baths or showers, if it's in the butt I sometimes sit on a heating pad (not on the lower back!!), and of course Tylenol when it gets bad. Also no heels, and sitting straight as possible, rest. I also now beginning at 19 weeks and feeling the baby have realized it's been bad for me because baby's favorite spots seems to be tucked right down low into my pelvis on the left side, so when that sciatic acts up I know where someone is hangin' out ;0) Good thing is it comes and goes.

its not just my right side, its my left too! And its painful! I just ride it out, and if it gets really bad, I put some heat on it.

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
