I am sure there are no bad stories here of owning a dog and being pregnant. I have not met iwth my doctor yet so I would like to get tips from you all!! I own a one year old Chi/terrier, I love her to death and have since the begininng picked her up, kissed her, and hugged her.. I have lessened these activites since my pregnancy but I am still tempted and go with the temptation to give my puppy love. I understand that it may not be the healthiest thing for the baby (?). What do you advice as far as the puppy loving?

you are fine cuddling with your puppy. You have to be careful with cats, but mostly just their litter box. You have to have someone else clean the box or use gloves, wash and be very careful. But no worries with your puppy...you're fine.

I couldn't imagine not cuddling and kissing my dogs! I think you're fine. If the puppy is as small as it looks, it's not like it could run into or jump on your tummy and do damage. As long as it responds to you, it shouldn't be a problem when the baby comes either. Our dogs know a firm "NO!" or "Go lay down" when they are doing something they shouldn't be. I wouldn't worry!

I wouldn't change a thing!

I wouldnt change a thing either, we own a cat which is a purebred longhair persian. She is all over me and loves cuddles and smooching. I'd hate it if she didn't do that

I would not change a thing either...I have three PUGs who demand attention all the time... theres a really cute video about a girl growing up with a dog. you should watch it. it's at pugrescueofflorida.org It's adorable.

Yeah, there aren't any reasons why you shouldn't still love on your dog. She's tiny enough you shouldnt have any issues picking her up either (as long as you can still bend over *L*).

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
