My hair is falling out.

This past week, my hair has started falling out, handful, after handful, after handful. This didn't happen with my first pregnancy, and I feel just awful about it. I'd like to keep my hair. Does anyone know anything about hair loss during pregnancy? I'm only 6 weeks along. If things continue at this pace, I'll be bald by the time this baby is born. Super bald.

I had the same thing happen in the beginning. I was told that its cuz the baby is taking all the nutrients. I was told to get a lot of vitamin E and calcium. And I tried to wash my hair as little as possible so it wouldnt fall out as much.
Mine stopped falling out round 11 or 12 weeks I think.

It is probably from all of the hormonal changes going on in your body. If if continues much longer I would be sure to tell the dr and maybe have him check your thyroid.

I am so sorry this is happening to u. I have heard that PG women can experience some hair loss especially right around the hairline. I hope the increase of vitamins helps u, but would def call the Dr ASAP to find out exactly how much more u need. GOod luck

my hair fell out by the handfull all the way till my 6mnth so hang in there it will get better now its thick and nice like everyone said it would be !

    I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

    I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
