I know Kegels are great for strengthening the pelvic floor and getting prepped for labor and delivery, however, I seem to be having a problem doing them! I can't manage to hold the muscle for more than a second before I have to release, and even when I hold I feel like I am squeezing my abdominal muscles and buttocks (which is the incorrect way of doing the exercise). Has anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions?
