I came home yesterday and my boyfriend told me they were having something on the news about potty training infants. I wasn't able to see the news but looked it up on the internet and found this link:

Have any of you heard of this, tried this or what do you think about it?

I read an article on it and I think it's got good intentions, but I don't think it's right. babies have no control over their urine and bowel movements. Teaching an infant to use the toilet isl ike teaching a cat how to ride a bike. But, tha't sjust my personal opinion :)

this is crazy when my daughter born i might try it but i dont think it would actually work

I've heard of it, but I don't have the time for it. It's more training the parents to know when the baby is most likely to go potty so the parent puts the baby over the potty at the right times. If you are going to be at home the majority of the time with your baby, it might be worth trying, but if you work or will be out of the house a lot with your baby, it just doesn't seem practical. Both my boys potty trained pretty easy when they were ready (between 2 and 1/2 and 3).

I have heard of it but I would never try it its like training WAY before they are ready. I have 2 kids 3 and 4 and both were ready at different times and everything I ever read says don't start too early or it will take longer. I am happy to say both kids are sucessfully potty trained! My son is the oldest and he was so HARD I wanted to cry!

you're not really training the infant anyway all you are doing is training yourself to run the infant to the bathroom at time intervals... i don't think it's a good idea personally.

Evidently, my husband went potty like clockwork when he was a baby - like his body had a schedule. He went the same times every day. So his mom just held him over the toilet at those times. I don't know if she did any conditioning like the article says, relating a specific sound to the action. He still wore diapers at night, but during the day he was so predictable taht he didn't need them. I don't know if I want to try this or not. Maybe if its completely obvious like it sounds like it was with Jared, I might try it, but it sounds like a LOT of effort to me.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
