I went to the hemmotoligist again today and he told me that some of my antibodies are high, normal is 15 and mine are 19. I am not sure what he means as he has a thick accent and spoke in Dr. talk. They took another 7 vials of blood to see if any other antibodies are high as it could mean miscarrying, still birth, or bleeding out during labor. Has anyone out there heard or dealt with this at all? I have been told not to worry, but that is easier said than done. I am 2 days shy of 30 weeks pregnant.

Do you have a negative blood factor (i.e o negative etc) I know that that will cause your antibodies high, and essentially your body is attacking the baby. Good luck, I hope everything works out. Did they do an u/s to check the baby and how it is functioning?

Oh, and if it is the negative blood factor, they can do things to save your baby such as a blood transfusion in utero I beleive, so dont stress more about that!

They never mentioned that I have a negative blood factor, and when I went for my 20 week ultrasound, they kept focused on the brian and heart, but I still have not received the results from it. That is also very frusterating when they will not have your results ready on time.

The only thing I have heard about antibodies...is the RH factor...if your blood is RH negative your first pregnnacy is usually not concerned..only pregnancies thereafter or if you've had a miscarriage or an abortion. The blood of the baby or fetus can cross into your blood and if the baby is RH possitive and u RH negative your body reacts as if there is a forgien substance that it needs to fight off. There are needles that they will give you to regulate the antibodies so your body wont fight against the baby and other options as well. I don't know if this is the case for u or not, I'm just not sure what else causes a high antibody count. Call your Dr's office and ask for your blood type...and feel confident that the doctor is already taking care of the situation :)

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
