I was curious to know if there were other pg ladies out there who suffer from the same thing as I do. At night when I go to lay down on my LEFT side as recommended, I feel my heart beat really hard and almost feels like it skips irregularly. When it quickens like this I also feel my throat get tight like it's knocking the breath out of me. They last very short lengths of time but happen every night and continuously until I fall asleep. Sometimes it freaks me out severely, I think I'm going to have a heartattack while I'm sleeping or something! Then I remembered reading about heart palpitations while being pg and that they are common because of the extra blood your body is trying to pump through. I have never had heart problems or high blood pressure in the past and everything has been fine up until now. I have my next OB appt on Monday but am curious to know if I should be concerned?
