Hello Ladies,
I went for my second appointment today. Everything went great I saw another strong heartbeat.
The doctor said something that was a bit weird...
He said that I am somewhere between 7 and 9 weeks.
According to my calculations I would be 9weeks 3 days today. The first day of my last period was November 15. I even used the digital ovulation kit and we BDed accordingly.
He scheduled me to come in again in 4 weeks and we'll do another ultrasound and I'll hear the heartbeat during that visit. He also stated that he'd be better able to pin point the due date during that visit. The baby will be more developed and "older".
This is my second pregnancy...I didn't have this experience with my first.
My doctor assured me that this is normal and that the most important thing right now is that we have a strong heartbeat.
I just want to know my due date and I also want to know exactly how far along I am.
Have any of you had the same experience? Thoughts? Opinions?
BTW - I love my doctor...he's very attentive and thoughtful so I don't think that he was giving me subpar care...he delivered my son and I have no issues with him.
It's just weird...

A friend sent this to me..As far as I can see, grief will never truly end.It may become softer overtime, more gentleand some days will feel sharp. But grief will last as long as Love does - ForeverIt's simply the way the absence of your loved onemanifests in your heart. A deep longing accompaniedby the deepest Love some days. The heavy fog mayreturn and the next day, it may recede.Once again, it's...

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
I was upset at first, knowing that he "misdated" my pregnancy but I'm glad, knowing that I might get to see my little boy sooner than I thought!
I think I'm going to call back tomorrow and talk with the nurse.
AI figured that since I was using a digital OPK that it'd be easier to pinpoint the date. I actually forgot to mention this to him during the visit today.
My best friend owns a Women's Clinic and he told me that it's very common for there to be some "issues" with pin pointing due dates...especially during the early stages of pregnancy. I'm not sure that I'm buying that answer...
My experience was completely different with my son. BUT I also didn't get in to see the doctor until I was further along. I went in earlier this time because I had spotting two weeks ago...
He was very clear that everything looked normal and that I don't need to be concerned...
But...I'm just not so sure.
I want a due date!
I too would be happy with that situation...being further along...
However, my doctor is saying that I may be earlier.
My periods weren't "regular" before I conceived...after taking the pill for 7 years I stopped taking them in August...no period in September...a "weird" one in October...and an "interesting" one in November. BUT I used the digital OPKs to pinpoint when I ovulated. I figured that this would make it easier...
I'm just frustrated.
