Does anyone else have a cat? I have one and he is really a part of the family. Like my childrens other sibling!! I'm worried about toxoplasmosis. I know you can only get it from an infected cat and only through their feces, which is why they say not to change their litter box when you're pregnant. I've steered clear of that part.....but I've read that if they've sat on things and then you touch those things, you could contract it that way. My cat stays in our utility room at night to keep him from scratching the furniture while we're sleeping and he sleeps on top of my washer and dryer, well that's where I fold clothes and I have to touch it on a daily basis. I know there is a test that can be done to find out if your cat has this or not, but we haven't had him tested. Also, I know that people can be immune to this disease, in which case it wouldn't matter if he had it anyway. So, any suggestions? Anyone had a cat and was or is pregnant? Do you know if your cat has this or not? Should I be worried? Thanks
