Rest when you can rest and do what you feel like you can. I worked up to pretty close when I had the baby and remember when I would get off work I was so exuasted from pushing myself so hard. I enjoyed my bathes, they helped me feel re-energized also, epson salt foot soaks, they helped when my feet had flatlined. Good luck

I cat-nap throughout the day. Don't take long naps just like an hour or two and when you get up you feel more energized. Well, I do...for the most part...sometimes it just makes me groggier and sleepier so...I have not really found a way to fight it. Like I said, I just take little naps through out the day and like kegsmom said, don't over do yourself. Your body knows what it can handle right now, so listen to it. I know what you mean about shopping and housework though. I have been a stay at home wife since early in pregnancy and shopping and housework is all I do. But, I clean just a little at a time, take plenty of breaks, and keep my feet up (mine are swollen so bad). Shopping I always have my list ready and I know the store front to back (I make my list according to order of how I am going to pass the items throughout the store) and it usually don't take me too long. The longest part is standing in line! I am at 36 weeks and I waddle everywhere. It takes me so long to walk around the grocery store! Everyone looks at me funny because of my heighth and my big belly. :D My hubby says I look cute though. Well, I hope I helped you out some and I wish you luck. :D

I get the same agrivating exhaustion and am now on bed rest because of high blood pressure, but i hate being inactive! Baths are a great way to regain your energy, aswell as getting your partner to give you a bit of a massage, or sometimes i just love sitting outside and taking time out with my puppy, but thats because i can't sleep during the day and like i said, lying down all day drives me insane and is really uncomfortable. Just take 'you' time when you're feeling tired and if you go shopping etc, do it at your own pace and take breaks. How far along are you?

I am 10 1/2 weeks with twins and know what you mean. I can't do anything without being absolutely exhausted. I know part of my problem is that I don't seem to be able to sleep more than 2 hours in a row at night. I am constantly waking up because I have to pee or get uncomfortable. I know, it is only the beginning. If you find something that works, please let me know!

I can't guarantee this will work for everyone, but I would suggest eating more fruit and veggies. It clears out the old blood vessels and tends to give a bit of a boost. Also, make sure your iron isn't too low. If you're not getting red meat or kidney beans often (baked beans are also good, as is a bean medley, but remember, too much beans makes you smelly ~L~) make sure you're taking an iron supplement too, but at half the dose so it doesn't overpower your prenatal vitamin. Just a few suggestions. Oh, and if you can handle it, drink lots of OJ for the vitamin C.

I have a lot of energy on some days, and others, I feel like I have no energy at all. If I become tired, I just go about, do some housework, get on the computer, run some errands, talk on the phone, etc. to keep me motivated (I'm a college student and I don't like taking naps because they turn into all night sleep sessions, which makes me end up being woke at 2:30am, with class @ 8am.). On the weekends, however, w/ nothing to do, I tend to rest. Watch some movies, eat some comfort food, sleep a lot, etc. It usually helps me revitalize myself for the following week ahead!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
