Some dr.'s will let you do a VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section). I had a c-section with my first and am having a repeat one with this baby under the advice of my Dr. I am very small (5ft even, 95lbs pre-preggo) and the Dr says b/c I am so small, my risk of rupturing my uterus during a VBAC is much higher than other womens. So I opted just to have another c-section. Just discuss your options with your Dr. and make sure you are aware of all the risks associated with a VBAC. Good luck in your decision!

It is up to your doc. What he thinks is best for you. Back in the day if you had a c/s with your first, then you had to have one with the rest of your kids. Now a days, things are different. A lot of women have successful VBACS these days. It is a common trend. But as your doc. Let him know what your birth plan is and then go from there. Good luck!!!!!

A VBAC is most successful when the reason for the original c-section was something that is not likey to occur again, fetal distress, breech or other unfavorable presentation and so on. Failure to progress though might be one of things you really need to talk to your doctor about. explain your wish for a vaginal delivery and go from there.. Good Luck!

I haven't had a c-section so I don't speak from personal experience, but my cousin and a friend both had 2 babies vaginally after a c-section so it can be done! Good luck.

My sister had her 2nd child VBAC and everything turned out great. You have to check with your dr because some hospitals don't even let you deliver that way because of the risk. The hospital that I work at they stopped doing them last year because of the risk.

My mum had a c-section with my sister because she was breech, and then she had my 2nd sister naturally

I always thought you could have a vaginal birth if you had had one c-section but I know after two most doctors want you to have a c-section only. Talking to your doctor is going to be the best route but there is a chance for either I guess. Best of luck.

I have had 2 c- sections. The first was emergency the second I was told had to be a c-section also, but i think it depends on why you had to have it inthe first place and ,of course, your dr. I think for mine it was just more convenient for him to schedule it on his time!

I had the samething I had to fax my records to the doctor he had to reveiw it and decide if it wasnt a risk for me. They look at how your incision was on your uterus because it could be different then on the inside why you needed a C-Section to begin with and decide if you are a god cantadate but it is very diffacult in many places to find a doctor willing to do a VBAC I live in WPB Flordia and there is only 1 clinic I have found willing to do it.
