Pregnancy - Teens Support Group
This community is dedicated to the experience of being pregnant as a teenager. Pregnant teenagers face many of the same obstetrics issues as women in their 20s and 30s. However, there are additional medical concerns for younger mothers, particularly those under 15 and those living in developing countries. For mothers between 15 and 19, age in itself is not a risk factor,...

Hey
Well I am 25weeks pregnant and I have 3 cats currently living with me.
My muma cat who currently lives with my mum has just had another litter of three. I am planning on keeping two of them.
I know that my cats will get their noses out ofjpint just with these kittens but I really want them we can afford them and no one else wnats any
We don't have any pet shops or anything here
I think my cats will get over the kittens but I am scared about when my son comes into the world because he will demand so much more of my attention and they have always held the spotlight with me.
I will still give them all the attention that they want or need but I know that there will still be the jealousy there
Does anyone have any tips on how to stop this from happening?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I have been teaching my big cats that they are only allowed in the room when I am in there as the kittens are to young at the moment. When I get up to leave the room the cats are vey well behaved and will instantly walk out as well.
I am going to try and have alot but a little contact between them just be be on the safe side
Thanx

My son pulls his tail, tries to pick him up, tries to pat him and my cat just walks away. My cat has never scratched him and he has never hissed.
However my mother in laws cat has been hissing at my boy since he was a NEWBORN! I hate the bloody thing and refuse to have my son near it.
Never leave your children in the same room as any animal without supervision. Never let your child touch a animal while it is eating. Keep the kitty litter somewhere where children cannot get to it.
Other than that, there isn't any other rules. Make sure your baby is gentle and the kitties are too. Keep the bedroom door shut and make it a catfree zone so they know they are NEVER to go in there.
Don't change kitty litter while you are pregnant it is very harmful, keep it in a area where it is away from where you normally are.
