Hi Ladies! So I had an ultrasound this past Thursday and Peanut is looking great.he/she was so active, doing flips, waving, sucking, just everything it was so great to see. But then at the end of the u/s the tech decided she wanted to do an internal to check my cervix. At this point I got worried and knew something was up. So she did her thing and when she was finished I asked her what the problem was and she said that right now my placenta is completely covering my cervix and that its not good because it should be placenta, baby, cervix. But in my case it is baby, placenta, cervix. She only told me that if it doesnt move, I will need a c section, but to talk to my doctor. So I asked my doctor about it and she said that i was so early right now that we arent going to worry about it at this point. Just continue to take it easy and she asked if I had any bleeding or pressure. I told her no, I havent had any spotting in the past 3 weeks (I had a SCH too) but that apparently has cleared up. So she said just to watch for anyh bleeding. She said at this point we are not worried, but if it doesnt move up at my next ultrasound we will have to start discussing it. So of course I came home and looked it up on google and I see what they told me, which was I may need a c section, but then I also see that it can cause preterm labor, lots of problems for the mother, for example if I start hemorraging and they cant stop it, they have no choice but to deliver, even if its too early. I am terrifed now! I know that typically if it doesnt move then I will be put on bed rest at around 25-30 weeks depending on how everything looks, but I also read that a lot of woman with placenta previa end delivering early like 32-34 weeks. I am just so scared now, I know I am very early still and it could easily move, but I have had so many issues with my placenta since the beginning that I am just so worried. It doesnt seem to be affecting Peanut, he/she is actually measuring a few days ahead and blood flow looks great, but Im worried. Has anyone had this in any of your pregnancies? Any words of advice or encouragment?? Thanks ladies!!!
