Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.
The three Hebrew men in Danielâ??s day put their trust in their unchanging God rather than in the ever-changing favor of men. We could learn something from their example. Nothing that happens in this nation or in the world can affect Godâ??s promises. Frankly, some of us need to stop watching so much television news programs. The national and international news networks may give us the raw data about the dayâ??s news, but they have no power to speak the truth. It is time for you to sit back and â??tell your TVâ?? the truth:
â??Yes, employment is down, but God has a job for me.â??
â??Yes, money is scarce, but my Father is rich in houses and land.â??
â??Yes, I hear what you are saying, but I know what my God said: â??This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good successâ?? [Josh. 1:8 nkjv].â??
Speak with authority to those circumstances. God has given you His Word on it; you could not ask for anything more! He used the same method to speak the universe into existence where there was a void. How difficult can it be for your God to speak your blessings and provision into existence?
All I need, Lord, is Your Word on my circumstances. You made a way for Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. You met Joseph in the pit and promoted him to chief ruler under Pharaoh. You met Moses at the burning bush and used him in his old age to deliver a nation of slaves from the worldâ??s most powerful nation.
