hi,
first of all thanks to you all for this site.
ok..i think a persons view ,feel for god changes throught time as the person changes. For example, when u are in a good place do u see god in more beautiful "light" compared to your view of god when u are in the depths of depression, anxiety, ocd ,hell? Interesting.. why is this?Does god change? Do we find more god as we find more within? Any relation?

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Also, I think it's pretty normal for our view of God to be gentler when we're doing fine. It's a real relationship for me. One that has dimensions that interact just like any other relationship in my life. Sometimes I think God is disgusted with me and sometimes delighted and sometimes maybe even a little bored. "You're neither hot nor cold, Beth. Get off your keister."
Maybe the question is not so much... who is God, but who are we? I mean, God is just unknowable on most levels. I gave up on it. I talk to God because it gives me insight. Whether that insight comes from my own self talk or from God, I'm not always sure. Nor do I think it matters. I do know that my own self talk tends to be more destructive than constructive. So, when good things come of it, my tendency is to attribute that to God. Right or wrong.
Eh. I started rambling. Sorry. I just thought that folks might like to share some of their prayers or ideas about prayer. Whatever. Thank you for posting!!!
These days because I have ben ill and have been in despair, I have thrown myself down at God's mercy.
But then I feel I have a stronger relationship with God, but then I think am I worthy to ask for God's help and support when with the way the World is going, God has obviously got a lot on his plate.
Im rambling sorry, but thank you for inviting me to join
Dave :)
Any way, I think we can talk to god where ever he is, and he is always there for us I think.
