I came across this website when looking for dealing with Trauma stuff online. We have less than 2 months left of school! My flashbacks have been pretty intense and I'm a bit afraid of how they will be when I'm out of school for the summer (I'm a teacher). Has anyone ever heard of this or experienced this themselves?

What type of symptoms do women have when they come to WIIT?
The women that come to WIIT are often very frightened by what is going on inside them. They are depressed, angry, hurt, confused. They suffer from anxiety and panic attacks, they have trouble sleeping, they see pictures or hear voices, they make unhealthy relationship choices, their marriages or families are in trouble. Some have been involved with drugs, alcohol, sexual acting out, bingeing/purging, compulsive spending, etc. Most are bothered by suicidal thoughts or feel very tired of life.
WIIT reduces and stabilizes the internal crisis and conflict that go on inside the trauma survivor. They can help you get through stuff that would take a long time in outpatient therapy. Then you can return to your therapist calmer and much better able to take advantage of their help.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I'm sure there are some residential in-patient treatment programs or out-patient programs around...just have to search for them.
I had a link to one with a long list on them, I'll see if I can find it.
One thing I would definitely ask about is what THERAPY STYLES they use there...I think that would be important to know. I would hope a place like that would integrate a lot of therapy modalities into their program.
I would love to go to a place like that, but with kids, I can't see myself doing that.
