For the last three years there has been an increase of leaks that were almost worth gathering sliding glass doors from the roadside to cover with. I really didn't have any idea how to manage this. I would let my family know that I was on the bucket brigade, so couldn't join them if it was raining. They tookit as me joking about a smallleak. It's an old house, 1926. So damage had to be repaired as they went. The original undamaged slat boards are hardwood. Only areas with a lot of damage were cut out and fitted with OSB.
The budget is very skinny. Which my sister and husband picked up most of the materials for for it.
My brother in law, a friend of his with skills and all the cool tools along with a grandnephew and nephew (also with skills), have been working on it for 2 weeks in some of our hottest weather.
Tomorrow maybe it will be done. Then the cleanup needs to be addressed.

So as the old ugly and disintergrating boards were dropped, I saved a couple that spoke to me. When I couldn't help on the ground or directing traffic, I worked the anxiety out on the boards....With paint. This is what I seen in my head for one of the bored time boards. Ihave done 3 now.
