Severe Depression and Therapy

deleted_user
I haven't been going to therapy cause I think talking about my traumas is going to really upset me and I am difficulty talking about the shame and blame I feel from my many multiple traumas. I fear the therapist may blame it one me. What is the best approach to getting help if your depression is severe? I am debilitated with memories, resentment and flashbacks on a daily basis? Help?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
You need to overcome that Shame and Blame and put it on your Abuser.
There are new ways, like EMDR, to help with flashbacks.
Don't go this alone, it will decompensate you more.
Try - EMDR.com - to look for a local EMDR therapist, they should specialize in Trauma Therapy as well.
Also check - www.sidran.org -out for loads of info, and they will give referrals also to trauma therapists.
A Good Pdoc will help to manage your symptoms as well too...that might be worth looking into as well.
