I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Reassure that those are not real.
Maybe try re-focusing attention at bedtime to something else, like a bed time book...so thoughts don't race.
Practice relaxation and grounding techniques.
Tell your children you love them and will protect them.
Hug them.
--For starters.
The kids may still need to do schoolwork, but tell their teachers they may need to "rest" with their heads down, some days. You may still need to do work or housework, but take breaks, don't do overtime, rest as much as you can, and don't pressure yourself to be a superhero.
This is a time to allow your bodies & minds to heal, with lots of nutritious food, lots of sleep, reading out loud with the kids, quieting music and books, fewer electronic games and more board games and family walks, and general peace & quiet around your home.
